The Independent Inquiry relating to Afghanistan held a week of open hearings at the Royal Courts of Justice. The Chair of the Inquiry, Sir Charles Haddon-Cave, heard opening statements from: Oliver Glasgow KC, lead counsel to the Inquiry; Brian Altman KC, lead counsel for the Ministry of Defence; Paul Greaney KC, lead counsel to the Royal Military Police; and Richard Hermer KC, on behalf of the Afghan families.
